Judge Holli Griner Martin was appointed
as the Juvenile Judge for the Tifton Judicial Circuit with a four-year
term beginning on October 1, 2004 and ending on September 30, 2008.
In this circuit, since there are two Superior Court Judges, the
appointment is made by the Chief Superior Court Judge, with the
concurrence of the additional Judge. Judge Martin is a native of
Ocilla, Georgia, and resides there with her husband, Lee, and their
three children. They are members of Frank Primitive Baptist Church
in Ocilla.
Judge Martin graduated magna cum laude from Valdosta State
College, earning the degree of Bachelor of Business
Administration in the area of Finance. She then gained
employment with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency,
Office of Inspector General, based in Atlanta, Georgia, as a
special agent. While employed with the EPA, she attended
John Marshall Law School in Atlanta and graduated cum laude
with the degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence in December 1994.
Upon returning to this area, she was hired as an Assistant
District Attorney with the Tifton Judicial Circuit and
gained the position of Chief Assistant District Attorney
before receiving the appointment as Juvenile Judge.
